Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Policy

Frome Community Bike Project (FCBP) is committed to eliminate discrimination whether by reason of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation (‘Protected Characteristics’) and to encourage equal opportunities for members, customers, volunteers and employees.

This is not merely a legal requirement, but equalities are core to FCBP, as we strive to ensure equality and diversity are promoted throughout the organisation. We recognise that sometimes fairness and equality of opportunity is not always about treating people similarly, but can sometimes mean treating people differently.

Our commitment to anti-discrimination and equal opportunities applies throughout FCBP at every level and ensures that in all our activities we will not discriminate or treat anyone less favourably because of a Protected Characteristic. Members and employees must not unlawfully discriminate against or harass other people including current and former members, employees, volunteers, customers, suppliers, and other visitors. This applies in both on and off FCBP’s premises, on social media and at all social events (including offsite social events).

FCBP will not tolerate any harassment, bullying or other discriminatory behaviour, whether physical, verbal, psychological or of any other nature and will work to ensure that such behaviour is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

We aim to ensure that all our facilities are accessible to all, however if you have concerns about accessibility then please contact us and we will address these directly and take on board feedback for how we can improve.

Feedback

We recognise that we will not be perfect, and we’re committed to improving. The best way for us to learn is from feedback from you, our community. If you have anything that you want to let us know about how we can be better, then please contact us.
